Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Room Attendant to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. Join our housekeeping team and play a vital role in creating memorable guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Clean and prepare assigned guest rooms to established hotel quality standards, averaging 15–18 rooms per shift.
Strip beds, change linens, and make beds neatly to housekeeping specifications.
Replenish guest amenities (e.g., toiletries, towels, coffee/tea supplies) and ensure rooms are fully stocked.
Vacuum carpets, sweep/mop floors, and remove garbage and recycling from guest rooms and corridors.
Dust and wipe furniture, fixtures, mirrors, and high-touch points, ensuring a spotless presentation.
Clean, disinfect, and detail bathrooms (toilets, showers/tubs, sinks, counters) to hotel sanitation standards.
Sanitize frequently touched surfaces (door handles, switches, remotes, phones) following infection-control procedures.
Ensure rooms are inspection-ready by completing final checks for cleanliness, functionality, and presentation.
Restock and organize the housekeeping cart daily; maintain appropriate supply levels and report shortages.
Report maintenance deficiencies and safety hazards (e.g., leaks, faulty lights, damaged furniture) to the appropriate department.
Handle lost-and-found items according to hotel policy, documenting and securing items promptly.
Provide professional, courteous service by responding to guest requests and special accommodations in a timely manner, while following WHMIS and safe chemical handling procedures.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience/Skills
No prior experience necessary—comprehensive training provided
Manual dexterity and Attention to detail
Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work
Ability to follow directions and specific instructions
Good communication skills
Physical capability to lift 25 lbs and push/pull carts
Must be able to walk and/or stand 90% of 8 hour shifts
